Sundogs!

Last Sunday I saw a sundog for the first time ever from my backyard. Sundogs are a pair of brightly colored spots, one on either side of the sun (about 11 degrees from the sun).  Follow this link to find an explanation how sundogs are formed.

I took the image below with the coolpix 4500 (handheld), but in reality you could see the sundog much better.
